The hard-working people in our community deserve policies that promote economic growth that supports the many, not the privileged few. We need programs that will help establish and sustain meaningful economic growth opportunities for every person in our community.
OUR VISION
Grow Good Jobs – I will invest in a Municipal Jobs Guarantee platform to grow our unionized workforce with jobs that offer a dignified wage, benefits, worker protections, and pay equity.
Scale Cooperative and Social Economy Networks – We must build shared wealth and ownership in our communities by developing policies that subsidize low-interest, interest-free, or federally guaranteed financing to establish cooperatives, trusts, and culturally responsive healthcare infrastructure.
Provide Universal Family Care – Champion creating a government-led care infrastructure that ensures a comprehensive safety-net for all families by guaranteeing paid and medical family leave, childcare, and universal long-term care.
Passing the 'Small Business Jobs Survival Act' - We must help secure small businesses long-term leases of up to 10 years, at fair rates, in areas where commercial rents are rising. Post-Pandemic, our small businesses are negatively impacted. We need to ensure that they have the support required to stay open.
